Pink Hollyhocks

These flowers grow nearby where we are staying in Taichung, Taiwan. They are really stunning. The pink seems to be more common than the dark purple.

    Notice your penchant for photographing flowers and other miscellaneous flora in the area. Have you folks discovered the Quarryhill Botanical Garden in Glen Ellen since you’ve moved (back?) to Sonoma County? I’m just now completing the docent program there and am looking forward to leading groups, both big and small. Quarryhill is a real gem. Hope you’ll check it out when you return if you haven’t already done so.

    • We are familiar with Quarryhill. Jane tentatively proposed an artist residency project bases her Japanese training in papermaking but they did not seem interested. A person gave us a tour that showed off the beauty of the place. Who knows things may change. Ironically, I don’t usually photograph flowers but….
