Hands Making Paper

These students are from the West Marin Elementary School. They are making paper. The one on the right has couched the handmade paper and is decorating her paper The one on the left, with the help of a volunteer is preparing to take the frame off by couching the handmade paper onto a fabric. The handmade paper contains bird seed. Other students were preparing to make handmade paper feathers. They will also be making nests created during Jane Ingram Allen’s 3-week residency in Pt. Reyes. The project “For the Birds” is sponsored by Gallery Route One, Pt. Reyes Station, CA.
