Quilt Pattern

This is a close up of one of the quilt patterns from the Tillamook County Quilt Trail. Jane Ingram Allen made this out of handmade paper.

    • Hi Jeroen,
There were three different stencils applied to three different moulds (frames with screening). One pulp was died yellow another blue and the last was natural. All the pulps were mixture of abaca, kozo and other natural pulps. They were then applied (couched) onto the surface material separately. This creates thin layers. The finished pieces are hung up to dry.

      Thanks for asking.
