I really like it in B&W.
Thank you Laura.
This looks great in black and white, too.
Thank you Chris. I too seem to like this one in b&w. Maybe it has something to do with being HDR.
Not sure. Neon in b&w has a beguiling effect for me. The lack of color where it is assumed creates, to me at least, an addition luminosity.
I think you are on to something with these theater photos. Collect them and show a bunch at once.
Thank you, Ron. I’m trying to work out what direction to pursue and exhibit the work. Books are good for preservation but they need to have the research with them to have an historical impact. That research seems to be evolving as well.
I think night shots probably work better in color.
I’m still trying to get a sense of b&w.
It takes more contrast than color, and you have to burn and dodge the extremes, avoid using global fixes like shadow and highlight recovery.
Thank you Ron. I’ll try to keep this in mind while working with b&ws. Your recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Great that this is still a strong picture now it’s b&w. Lovely!
Thank you Jeroen. Some of these marquee images work well when converted to B&W. It maybe that the original was HDR.
