Rajiv, thank you. The location is very appealing. Unfortunately, I was only there for a very short period of time.
Great shot! Especially with what looks like fog in the distance. Can we get a shot at night? With the light?
Thanks Emilio. The night shot would be a great idea but I was passing through Crescent City on my way from Oregon to Eureka, California. I’ll keep the idea and see if there is a time in the future that I’m back for a blue hour shot.
Yes it was fog coming in even though it was shot at 12:11.
I just saw somewhere online that there are lighthouse’s that have been converted into hotels or have rooms available to stay. I would love to do that sometime.
I too have heard about this taking place. I’m not aware of any on the West Coast but it would not surprise me. It would be fun as long as they had turned off the fog horn.
Check out East Brother Lighthouse.
I echo others comments: great photo! Love how the fog frames the subject and the two people included in the frame. Interesting that there seems to be an off-shore breeze (looking at the flag) yet the fog looks like it is coming in the opposite direction. Optical delusion (ha, ha) I guess. 😀
Rawls thank you. You really looked at this image closely. It could be that the fog is moving out.
What a lovely pic! Love the fog emerging in the background.
Love this photo! Lighthouses are fantastic. I just don’t get to see too many since I am landlocked. LOL
Thank you. Yes on the landlocked. You a long way from the Gulf as well.
This image is one of my favorites. As the title implies, I’m a fan of Edward Hopper. https://allentimphotos2.wordpress.com/2013/11/17/homage-to-edward-hooper/
