Neat shot, especially the perspective… that summertime is behind us (well, not us in Southern California with our 100 Deg heat, but as per the calendar!)
SueBee and Kat, thank you. Try to stay cool. We’re in the 90s here in Santa Rosa, North of San Francisco. Personally, warmth of 85 degrees is much preferred to 15 degrees.
The lens was resting on the deck and the body was below the edge. The chairs were bolted down and could not be moved. The challenge was to get far enough back without getting into the poison ivy. Fire Island has lots of poison ivy mosquitos and deer ticks. A great place to visit but you had to be prepared. Nightly tick inspections were a must. I found 3 on my wife over a 2 week period. I had none. We read that if you remove them within 24 hours the risk of Lyme disease is greatly reduced.
Thanks. It does sound worse than it was. We both used insect repellent with deet purchased at REI. It was affective compared to Off. Walking outside with Off on was similar to ringing a dinner bell and serving yourself as the meal.
Addendum to your museum chair series? Like the color and shape contrasts.

Rawls, thank you. Chairs for some reason are fascinating to me. Maybe I need to have myself analyzed.

Maybe it’s your mega-traveling bod saying ‘Sit a spell, pardner’ 🙂

That would be a nice idea. They are comfortable. However, insect repellent required during dusk, dawn and most other times as well.

With good reason (liking chairs, that is!) – they each have a very interesting story to tell!

I could handle the 85, it’s just the 100 is getting rather old!

Yes, it sure can. I believe it is all part of the climate warming and contributes to the high number of wild fires in California.

It certainly is. This summer has been miserable and the fires awful for far too many people.

Nice shot! How low to the ground did you have to get for this one?
