Victor, thank you. I did have to take out an obnoxious telephone pole.
Great capture! I’m always on the lookout for old buildings.
Thank you Avvy. I’d been by this barn before but this time the overall scene was better. It had rained heavily and the water was up. It seemed to give a nice balance.
I might need to give this a try & take some photos after the rain! 🙂 The dark sky gives it such a dramatic feel, it really is beautiful!
Avvy, thank you for you complements. The sky is effective. I use NIK filters to help enhance the image. You can combine them to get some drama.
I tend to think, well the sun is not out and the images won’t be as good but then I remind myself that I can capture a landscape with a different feel. Go for it.
Also thank you for following my blog.
Welcome! I enjoy your photos very much!!
Thank you and thank you for following my blog.
This is a fantastic image! To me, it portrays the lost art of farming.
Thank you for you complement.
You’re welcome! I love your blog!
Super landscape Tim, I love the detail and the colour balance, very nice!
John, thank you. The old barn with the silo caught my eye. With the water up it added to the image. The weather was threatening. That added to the drama after postproduction.
Beautiful capture, I love the shape of American barns 🙂
Thank you. These barns have some beautiful shapes. We’ve got a round one that is near us. I’ve never found the right spot to shoot it to get the full impact. I guess I should try again.
Please do try again, would love to see a round one 🙂
I’ll see what I can do. I’m over in that direction tomorrow. I’ll wander around it and see what I can get. Thanks for the encouragement.
Agree with all the positive comments. Very nice image!
Rawls thank you. We’ll have to go out again to photograph before I leave for LA.
Beautifully done Tim.
Rich thank you.
I’m a bit taken back by how much response this image has received.
Well deserved response Tim – it’s a beauty!
Thanks again Rich.
Very nice! It reminds me of the scenes I sometimes stop and shoot when driving down a country road 🙂
That would fit. This was definitely a country road. Pot holes and all.
This is amazing, Tim! Love it!
Majka, thank you for your kind words.
You are most welcome Tim! ☺
Looks like an amazing painting!
Thanks. The post processing filters create that appearance.
Beautiful!! I love the color! And the clouds are so intriguing.
Breathtaking – the sense of sweeping time and weather, the muted shades yet the vibrancy in the foreground
Thank you so much for taking the time to make such positive comments.
Gorgeous photo! Great composition.
Thank you and thank you for following my blog. That is greatly appreciated. Continued best in all your photographing of birds and other subjects you enjoy.
