  1. Stunning sky! And what a great landscape. You’ve captured this scene wonderfully!

Keep up the nice photography 🙂

    • Hi Tieme
Good to hear from you. The Mojave Desert is quite a change from the now green hills of Sonoma County California. The Joshua Trees are fascinating and lend a lot to the image.
Thanks for your comments. I’ve got some other shots that I was using the lights from my car to light tees and columns of the wind turbines.

      • Hi Tim! The Joshua Trees are indeed unique and mark the landscape well.

Haha, who needs flash when you’ve got a car 😉

        Happy Friday!

      • The Joshua Trees are a wonder and since they are in the yucca family they have defensive thorns that are like needles. I’ve got wounds to prove it.
Car lights work well but there tough to focus quickly.

      • I believe you on your words and probably won’t test it myself 😉

Unfortunately the car lights are also fairly small, creating hard light.

        Cheers,
        Tieme

    • Actually not. The camera was on a tripod and set to 1/60 second at f/10, 400 ISO – 16mm. I use Lightroom and it does a great job of pulling out the shadows.
      Thanks for asking.
