The 20 Mule Team – Teams Hauled Borax Traveling from the Harmony Borax Works near Furnace Creek in Death Valley to the Railhead Near Mojave. For More Information http://www.nps.gov/deva/learn/historyculture/twenty-mule-teams.htm – Rio Tino Operation, Boron, Kern County, California, U.S.A. – March 6, 2016
Thank you, John. This was a challenge as the team from end to end is about 20 meters and it would have been a snap shot if taken looking end to end. I liked the shadowing created by the concrete horses. The sun was intense at about 2pm in the Mojave Desert.
We were fortunate to be there during the spring when the flowers were in bloom. You may have seen some of the images that I posted on the blooming desert. Jaw dropping to see a desert turn from brown to green and then yellows, blues, and purples of the flowers.
This is an awesome shot! Love the compostion. Do you mind if I share it?

🙂 There are some comments that could be made that I will leave to other’s imaginations but I will say I rather like the shadows.

Thanks Rawls – the shadows caught my eye as well.

Were they pulling a wagon full of Borax?? 🙂

Yes they were. I could get the shadow in the same way if I had included the wagon.

Tommy, thank you.
These are particularly stubborn mules. Concrete seems to solidify their idea of when to move.

Mules, hey are all stubborn. They hate people and work.

Yes, that’s what I’ve heard. I’ve not spent much time in their company.

Yes, and totally beautiful. I’ve also seen some of Scott’s desert flower pictures. All very impressive.
