You really need to make a point of coming up to Santa Rosa to see this rookery. It is well worth the visit with snowy, cattle and great egrets here. There are also night herons. All in their full mating plumage. What a grand sight.

There is a period of nest building, egg laying, hatching and then the chicks flying away. That maybe a 6 week period.
