Very nice, Tim. Have they planted something between the vines? Looks so neatly done. Not the usual tangle of mustard, I guess.
Rawls, thank you. It looks as if they have grass growing between the rows. It does have a very sculptured look.
You are getting a lot of mileage out of those vineyards, Tim! 🙂 –Curt
Well, the vineyards are everywhere here. I seem to be tripping over them no matter where I turn. I’m not complaining but they do get a bit stark in winter.
I’m not complaining either, Tim. I’m glad that they are there for you to record their beauty! –Curt
Curt, I realize that you were not complaining. My answer was a bit abrupt. Sorry for that.
The vineyards lend a beauty to this area that unfortunately, because of their ubiquitousness I begin to lose an appreciation for their beauty. Your comments help me remember that.
I love this image, Tim! You capture the vineyards so beautifully. You’re lucky to be so close to them. Great colors.
Jane, thank you.
This turned out to be a great afternoon of shooting. Since daylight ends early, I’m able to get out before the grandchildren get home from their after school program and not worry about getting home in time. This vineyard was just off the Occidental Rd trail leading into the Laguna de Santa Rosa. The sun was low to the left and tall trees in the background. The weather, timing and location all worked together.
