John, thank you. This image represents a part of Sonoma County California that most visitors don’t see. So much of the county is made up of vineyards, you have to hunt for these open spaces. This area near Petaluma is very beautiful. Someone said it reminded them of Grant Woods images.
Rawls, thank you.
Someone today looked at this image and was reminded of the Windows XP opening image called Bliss. I did not think about that when taking it but he maybe right. Here is a Wikipedia article on the photographer, Charles O’Rear and Microsofts purchase. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bliss_(image)
Thank you Marcus. It was beautiful. The light was changing so quickly that this was a fleeing moment. That’s the advantage of capturing something in the moment. As you know, it’s not easy to tell what you have by looking at the back of your camera. I was pleased when I got it into the computer and saw what I had. Thanks again for your comments. They are greatly appreciated.
Another idyllic photo of my vision of what foothills are supposed to look like in the winter and spring, Tim. Really liked the interplay between sun and shadows. –Curt

Curt, thank you. It does have a nice horizontal flow that seems fit nicely with the streaming clouds.

Jim, thank you. It’s a bit obvious that I’m taken with this area. As my friend Rawls has said, “I’ve milked this….”
