Ooh- I love this in monochrome, as well, Tim. Works well with the horizontal shadows and side lit trees. Terrific.

Jane thank you. The side lit trees did it for me.

But for the sky it looks as if you shot in infrared. Monochrome is nice, but I prefer the sunny lookof the original (It being grey and miserable out here).

Jim yes I can understand. Sunlit days are special. I’m using Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 to convert to B&W. I was looking at the sun lit leaves of this tree. When the wind blows the under side of the silvery leaves shows up more. This is what caused me to convert the image.

Since I saw the original underneath this picture on your blog-homepage, there is a bit of comparison of course, and while I like both pictures, this one really kicks in. Love the black and white!!!

Thank you for taking the time to look and comment. That is greatly appreciated. What inspired me to turn this into black and white are the sun lit leaves of the olive trees. They seemed to sparkle.
Also thank you for following my site. That is also appreciated.
