I’ve set up my camera to capture birds as they come to eat. I’m using a cover over my lens to block out any reflection from the window. The lens is about 5 inches from the bird. This creates some depth of field problems.
awww such a cute little bird they are always welcomed at my feeders, including the chickadees and nuthatches and the carolina wrens, I never tire of seeing my little bird friends.
It’s so true. The feeder I had in the window before had a plastic back it was difficult to photograph through. That has gone into my daughter’s window. The cats that stay in her room really are entertained by the birds. My wife has allergies so the cats are isolated.
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Thank you Jane. A comment on Facebook suggested that I use a reflector to try to get more light on the birds. I’ll try a white board I have. I’ll look forward to seeing how that works. The down side I’ll not be able to see the birds in the feeder except through the lens. Well, it’s worth a try.
Lovely photo, Tim, such a sweet little bird. ❤️
Thank you John. This is a flighty bird. I’m fortunate that it stays long enough to pose.
