This osprey is bringing a pine branch to add to the nest. It is common to see these birds continue to add to the existing nest even after the eyats are born. I took this photo at Lake Sonoma, Sonoma County, CA.
I’m enjoying the bird photos so much, there are so many spectacular shots. Plus I’m learning interesting facts about birds, like today. Such a cool shot! Plus, next time I go to a baby shower and We play the game where you match baby animal names to the adult, I’ll know eyat! (auto correct doesn’t even know this word!)
