These large squid seem to dance across the surface of reefs and the sandy bottom. They use jets of water to propel themselves. Monterey, CA June 19, 2018

Protecting Territory

The Oriental Magpie (Copsychus caularis) is very territorial. This is particularly true during breeding season from February to September. After fighting for a number of minutes, both birds flew off seemingly unharmed. Cheng long, Kohou Township, Yunlin County, Taiwan. April 24, 2018

Taken at a nearby festival. Hats of different styles and colors seemed to worn with abandonment at the festival. This one caught my eye first because of its weave and then the reflection in his glasses.

I was ready to leave City Feed, a store in Jamaica Plain, MA and wanted to get some water for my glass. This sign caught my eye. Is Jamaica Plain running out of water?
