This was the day when we have been installing the small nests in the trees along Route 1. We needed to find a big tree to install a big eagles nest. The afternoon wind around the Commons made the handmade paper feathers lift, turn and twist creating interesting patterns. People had attached them to the large nest in the Commons and to small nests that will be sited in trees along Route One in Point Reyes Station. One of the volunteers, Diana Marto dressed up as a bird and was assisting others in tying the feathers onto nests in the Commons. Many people participated in writing best wishes, prayers, and sayings on the paper feathers. Even Two Year Olds Can Make Paper Feathers

One family who stopped by included their two year old daughter. She got to make a paper feather. She had to have a chair to stand in to do it but she did a terrific job in making a paper feather.
