The one on the right has couched the handmade paper and is decorating her paper The one on the left, with the help of a volunteer is preparing to take the frame off by couching the handmade paper onto a fabric. Here is another picture of the two guys I met outside of the Old Western Bar in Point Reyes Station. They were traveling around. One said he was from Hawaii and the other from Mill Valley, California. They seemed to be living from place to place. They both were friendly and readily agreed to have their pictures taken. Here they seemed to be relaxing and taking in the scenery.

This photo shows a participant making handmade paper feathers. The handmade paper feathers will be used in Jane Ingram Allen’s public art project titled “For the Birds” sponsored by Gallery Route One, Point Reyes Station, California. The feathers have birdseeds to feed the birds in the pulp, and the feathers will decorate nests made from local branches also created by public participants and school children in the local school. The nests and feathers will be sited in the Commons and along Route 1 in Point Reyes Station. Join the public participation activities on Sept. 17 and 18 and on opening weekend Sept. 21 and 22.
