It is common for one Taoist temple god to visit another Taoist temple god. A Pingdong County temple visitors approach the Chenglong Village Temple in Yunlin County, Taiwan. Two particular participants with blackened faces are Tangji. They become possessed by their temple god as they march in the parade to the temple they are visiting. “Tangki are considered shaman or spirit medium as the earthly vehicles for devine expression.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongji_(spirit_medium) The women on the left holding the flag appears to have been possessed as well.
