Trashy music. (Just kidding.) Got to be better than the backup ‘beep, beep’ we get.
Well that is also here. The challenge to foreigners is that music is very loud and most drivers do not turn off the music/noise while the truck is taking on garbage from the people who are waiting on the street. There are many You Tube videos on the Taiwan garbage trucks.
The singing garbage truck!!
I remember when I first arrived in Taiwan, the whole concept felt so bizzare to me and now it feels so normal.
I would agree. Fortunately the trucks come at set times so you can plan ahead.
You are right! And the concept is rather clever is a place that is so densely populated like Taiwan.
Well I suppose that’s a nicer way to announce their presence than the usual clash boom bang beep of ours.
Yes, and it is one of the best ways to meet your neighbors. It is a social gathering while waiting for the garbage truck to arrive.
Never mind the music, the photo is brill.
John, thank you. I’ve never really gotten a photo with the garbage trucks that I truly like. This is close but not quite right. I’d prefer to not have the car in the way. Maybe next year.
