    • Sorry to hear that but rain is needed. It’s been rather hot and humid here. No air-conditioning. Rough getting to sleep.
      Try to stay dry.

      • No problem. Only morning showers. Would have been a good puffy clouds photo op in the afternoon but I had other obligations. Saw something as a part of that that may interest you. Sent a separate message. Hope the heat moderates and you can get some better sleep.

      • Thanks it has a bit but a blowup mattress on a box spring is a challenge to most bodies. At least it’s a bed and not a quilt on the floor. Three more nights then one night in an excellent bed at a friends and then on to Bali. As I remember where we are staying has excellent beds.

  1. Does the bridge end “prematurely” to prevent pedestrians from getting too close to the sculptural installation?

    • Yes. It’s really not a bridge but a walkway to a viewing site for the three bottles a bit more closely than the road. People were stopping on the one lane road to take pictures and blocking traffic. The villagers have gotten into the habit of calling it a bridge. It may be a translation problem from Taiwanese to English.
