Study in Pink, Green and a Snowman Painted Thumbnail

We were out selecting a Christmas tree from a local tree farm. My granddaughter Sarah brought her stuffed owl and was putting it in a small tree. She had had her nails painted with red and green colors and with a snowman on each thumbnail. Happy Holiday to everyone.

Light in the Trees

This is an other view of light in a medium dense forest of conifers. These are largely Sitka spruce.
Bark

There were many eucalyptus trees at Jack London State Park in Glen Ellen, CA. The bark on this tree caught my eye. This tree was part of a grove that Jack London planted.
